When you are considering purchasing a central vacuum system for your home you have a lot of different ideas and ingormation to take in and assimlate. Take the different types of hoses that are available for these systems. Central vacuum hoses have come a long way from being simply a length of plastic hose that you stuck into a wall inlet in order to vacuum your home. In this article we will look at 5 different types of hose being produced by MD, a manufacturing company of central vacuum parts with an excellent reputation.
1. Basic Hose: This is the closest you might get to the old lenght of hose of bygone days and it is a million miles from that. Basic it may be advertised as, but it is sill crush-proof, lightweight, has a 360 degree swivel capacity and comes with a 2 year warranty, (as do all of the hoses discussed in this article).
2. Electric Hose: This hose comes in 30 and 35 foot lenghts and has an on / off switch, which allows you to control the suction of the system from thehandle of the hose. As with most of the other hoses mentioned here the electric hose has a metal hose end (which prevents wear and tear).
3. Low Voltage Hose: The main difference between this hose and an electric hose is the fact that it comes in a greater range of hose lengths.
4. Stretch Hose: these types of central vacuum hoses are very popular where space for storage of the hose is a consideration. This hose can go from a resting lenght of several feet to a fully extended lenght of over 25 feet.
5. Quick Click Hose; this is a very popular addition to the MD central vacuum hose family and it comprises a 20 foot hose, which can then take a 10 foot extension. This allows the homeowner to decide whetehr or not to use the extended 30 foot hose, or just the 10 foot section, depending on the task in hand.
